GLC secures emergency homeless accommodation for three vulnerable clients in Glasgow

Govan Law Centre (GLC) solicitors were instructed by three separate clients today to raise urgent proceedings for judicial review in the Court of Session to secure emergency homeless accommodation.

All of the clients had been accepted as homeless by the local authority and were advised they were entitled to interim accommodation, however they were informed there was nothing available. All three persons had been sleeping rough in Glasgow this week.

After raising proposed petitions for judicial review in the Court of Session this morning, all three clients were provided with emergency accommodation.

GLC solicitors acting were Laura Simpson, Holly Sloey, Sophie Berry and Charis Brooks who instructed GLC’s Solicitor Advocate, Mike Dailly. Laura McDonagh, Partner at Drummond Miller LLP acted as Edinburgh agents.

Addendum: a fourth client was accommodated this afternoon without the need to raise court proceedings.
