The closure of the Bank of Scotland plc branch in Govan will have profound implications for local people including those who are elderly, disabled and vulnerable as well as impacting negatively upon local businesses and charities.
People, businesses and charities need access to cash, the ability to deposit cheques and money and talk to local banking staff for financial advice and information.
The bank at Govan Cross is the last local bank in Govan and provides essential services to our community. Govan Law Centre supports the campaign by our local Member of Parliament, Chris Stephens MP to save the Bank of Scotland branch in Govan.
