Govan Law Centre is delighted to announce that Candy Walker and Chris Stephens have joined our Board of Directors today (Friday, 27 June 2025).
GLC’s Board of Directors convened in person this morning at A House for an Art Lover in Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park.
GLC Chairperson, Tommy McMahon, said: “Chris and Candy both bring a wealth of experience and skills to our Board with respect to access to justice, good governance and management experience. We are are fortunate to have their valued support and look forward to their contribution to the work of the law centre”.
Candy Walker has a strong track record in the law having worked for several law centres in Glasgow following a successful career in private practice as a partner and solicitor. Chris Stephens has a first class reputation as a social justice campaigner and trade unionist with UNISON Scotland and was previously the Member of Parliament for the Glasgow South West constituency.
